When learning English, the words and phrases you study don’t truly stick in your mind until they actually mean something to you. And for them to carry real meaning, you need to learn them by understanding and using them correctly within the context of a sentence.
You also need to have at least some memory attached to them—meaning you should have heard them from someone, picked them up through reading, or come across them somewhere and made an effort to understand them. Otherwise, memorising words from a list that you’ll probably never use in real life, without understanding how they work in a sentence, is simply the wrong approach.
That is exactly why we built Dejavu English—to solve this very problem.
